Can I bring my RV or camper?

You may bring one, but it cannot be parked at the property. It would need to be parked in our overflow parking, and you would not be allowed to have anyone stay in it. There are several campgrounds and RV parks nearby if you need a place to stay.

Where is Bear Lake Legacy located?

We're at Legacy Beach Resort, 580 S Bear Lake Blvd in Garden City, Utah, right on the western shore of Bear Lake, about a 2.5-hour drive from Salt Lake City through Logan Canyon.

How many vacation rentals do you have?

23 homes, all within the same private resort. They range from a 4-bedroom townhome that sleeps 8 up to an 18-bedroom estate that sleeps 70.

Can I smoke at the resort?

No, We have a strict No Smoking policy in on and around the Premises! The resort is a smoke free zone. Because of the close proximity of the homes within the resort you must go outside the resort to smoke.

Are the pool and hot tub included?

Yes, every guest has access to the seasonal outdoor pool, the year-round lakefront hot tub and the 24-hour gym. You'll get your wristbands at check-in.

Can I book direct without going through Airbnb?

Absolutely. Book right here on our site or call or text 435-494-1663, and you'll get the same homes without the Airbnb or Vrbo service fees.

Unfortunately, no. Legacy Beach Resort has a strict no-pet policy across the whole community. Registered service animals are always welcome.

How close is the beach?

As close as it gets, the beach is part of the resort itself, just steps to a short walk from your rental.

Do you have firepits or allow them at the resort or on the beach?

No, we do not have any firepits and they are not allowed on the beach. (The Inn at the Beach property does have a propane firepit that is exclusive to just that property.)

Can I light off Fireworks at the resort?

No, they are not allowed to be discharged at the resort even during holidays when they are legal. During the holidays when they are legal the City generally provides a safe place for them to be lit off. This has traditionally been at the Heritage Park but may change from time to time. You may check with our office to see where they are allowed if you have any questions. Please do not disregard this policy, as it will result in fine of at least $500.00.

Yes, the Town of Garden City does have and enforces quiet hours from 10 pm - 8 am.

Do you provide beach or pool towels?

Unfortunately, we do not have beach or pool towels available at this time. Please bring your own towels for this use. If you can make sure the towels make it back to the unit they came from you could use the towels provided for the pool if necessary but please do not use them for the beach as they can become stained and ruined by the sand and lake water.

What are the hours for the Swimming Pools and Hot Tubs?

The Pools and Hot tubs are open daily from 10 am to 10 pm from Memiorial Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. (The Hot tub on the Lakefront side stays open year round.)

What is the beach like?

Because the water level fluctuates so much each year it is hard to know what the lake shore experience will be like. When the water is full right up to the sea wall (which is not too common) the only beach access there is, is the small man-made beach next to the Pool and grassy common area. When the lake level is very low it does expose a lot of beach area that can be utilized and when it is like this usually we can allow you to drive vehicles down on to the beach. If the vehicle can safely be parked at least 100’ from the shoreline you are welcome to drive down and park.

Yes, The water level fluctuates quite a bit each year so it is hard to judge from year to year what the water level will do. Because of this, some years the dock is not usable at all because the lake is too low. Other years it may start out in the water and be accessible but by the middle to end of the year the water may drop and not be accessible at that point. It is very seldom that the dock has been accessible to most boats, but when the dock is in the water, generally personal watercraft, paddles boards, kayaks, etc. are fine to go to and from the dock.

Can I use the marina or walk out on the jetty that is next door just North of the resort?

No, that is a private marina and jetty owned by the Azure Cove HOA. Please do not trespass in this area by boat or on foot.

Can I launch my boat or watercraft at the resort?

Unfortunately, we are not able to allow you to launch at the resort. A few of the owners at the resort do have a tractor for their personal use but they are not for hire. You would need to launch at the State Marina about 2 miles North of the resort. You are welcome to anchor the boat out in front of the resort during the day. I would not recommend leaving your boat in overnight but that is your call and done at your own risk.

Do you have parking for boats and trailers?

Yes, There is overflow parking on the townhome side of the resort along the back (West) side of the parking area. All boats and trailers of any kind must be parked in that area. They are not allowed in the parking lot on the lakefront side of the resort.

What am I required to do at checkout?

Please remove the sheets from any used beds and place them out side of each room. (Leave mattress pad covers on the beds.) Remove all trash from the property and put it in the dumpsters located at each end of the Resort. If there are dirty dishes, please load the dishwasher and start the cycle. Remember to get all personal items, including phone chargers, sunglasses, swimsuits, etc. (If items are left behind and you request us to ship them back to you there will be a minimum $25 charge to pickup, package and ship the items to you.) Unless you have made prior arrangements with us ahead of time please be courteous and be out of the property by 10:00 am so that our cleaners have the necessary time to get things ready for the next group.

Legacy Beach Resort has a strict NO PET policy for the entire resort. Official Registered Service animals are allowed. Emotional Support Animals are not the same as Service animals and are not allowed.

Are there grocery stores nearby?

Yes, we have Mike's Market and another small grocery store inside the Shell gas station. Both offer a wide variety of options. We recommend that you do the majority of your shopping before you come but you should be able to find most anything you may need or run out of while you are here at either of these two stores.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations less than 30 days will be charged for the full rental amount. (No discounts for late arrival or early departure.) *All reservation deposits made with a credit card are subject to a 3.55% credit card processing fee if refunded due to a cancellation, regardless of when the reservation is canceled. Any changes to a reservation after it has been made will incur a minimum $25 change fee. If you have booked the Inn at the Beach property the cancellation policy is as follows: Cancellations less than 60 days will be charged for the full rental amount.

Are the Swimming Pools and Hot Tubs shared with other guests?

Yes, the swimming pools and hot tubs on both sides of the resort are open to all guests staying at the resort. You will recieve wristbands at check in to allow you access to them during your stay.

Rendezvous Beach Rentals

Rendezvous Beach Rentals sits at the west end of the day-use beach inside Bear Lake State Park's Rendezvous Beach area, near Laketown, Utah, about the southern tip of the lake. It's the same Bear Lake Fun rental network as Marina Rentals and Bear Lake Funtime, but here the draw is calm, shallow water that's especially good for families, paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes.

What to expect

Because Rendezvous Beach sits at the lake's south end, the water here tends to be shallower and calmer than at the marina, making it a favorite for stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and canoeing, alongside the usual motorized options like boats and Sea-Doos. The rental shop also carries boating and fishing supplies, runs a small fast-food grill for a quick bite without leaving the beach, and offers cozy camper cabin rentals (sleeping 6 to 8) for anyone who wants to stay the night close to the water without a full RV setup.

Hours and pricing

Rendezvous Beach itself is open roughly May 1 through late October, with park gates open 7am to 10pm and quiet hours from 10pm to 7am. Rental hours generally track the park's day-use hours in season. A day-use entrance fee applies per vehicle to enter the park, on top of whatever equipment you rent.

Location and parking

Rendezvous Beach State Park, Laketown, UT, roughly 2 miles northwest of Laketown at the southern end of Bear Lake. There's parking throughout the day-use area, and it's a longer drive from Garden City than the marina, worth planning as a half-day or full-day trip rather than a quick stop.

If your group includes younger kids or less confident swimmers, Rendezvous Beach's calmer, shallower water is a more relaxed choice than the open lake near the marina. The camper cabins are worth knowing about even if you're already staying in a vacation rental nearby, they're a fun option for a change of pace or for overflow guests during a bigger family gathering.
